To be fair that's more on them for not telling you beforehand, did they expect you to just innately know they were vegetarians? I'm a vegetarian, if someone invites me over for a meal I always tell them and you would drink too if you were a nurse shirt! I would never just show up at their house and be like "oh I don't eat this do you have anything else" they just sound like shitty people.
